Some useful information to make the most of your
experience at our yoga studio.
Our classes are non-demonstrative, meaning teachers call the poses. They don’t necessarily perform them. So if you are new to yoga, it’s best to park your mat in the back of the room so you can see the practice. Total beginners are encouraged to start with an introductory Power ‘n Flow Basics class. Although all our classes, except for the Intermediate, are all-levels.
Comfortable, fitted, stretchy clothing. Think active wear!
All you need is a yoga mat, towel, and refillable water bottle. You can fill up from the filtered water fountain, free of charge. Mat and towel rentals are provided for a nominal rental fee, and our HYL boutique is stocked with bottled water, coconut water, and yogi gear—from mats, yogitoes, and headbands to yoga/lifestyle apparel and accessories. And don’t forget to bring your spirit!
We have a variety of classes on the schedule and more than 20 teachers on our team! Our classes are primarily a vinyasa style class, meaning a fluidly moving class. Our classes build strength and flexibility. Some classes have music, others don’t. We also offer private sessions and a prenatal private series. Check out class descriptions below.

POWER ‘n FLOW
You, Your Mat, Your Breath and Your Body. A Vinyasa Flow class that gets your body moving.Continual movement through yoga postures gets your heart-rate up while balancing postures and core sections will keep you focused and strong. Modifications are highlighted in order to make the class achievable for all. Teachers will impart inspiring insights so students leave with the knowledge of how to grow their yoga practice. All are welcome!
GROOVE ‘n FLOW
A Vinyasa based yoga class that gets your body move’n and a groove’n. Flow class set to music. Continual movement through yoga postures gets your heart-rate up while balancing postures and core sections will keep you focused and strong. Modifications are highlighted in order to make the class achievable for all. All are welcome!
POWER ‘n FLOW BASICS
No experience necessary! This is an ideal place to start learning the foundations of yoga. Posture, alignment, breathing, and flow sequence are explained in detail focusing on building strength and confidence. A great class for those who have been on a yoga break, recovering from injury or want to be reminded about the essentials that make a yoga practice powerful.
HYL BLISS BREAK™
HYL Bliss Break™ All LEVELS (50 minutes) The perfect way to de-stress! Enjoy guided meditation, breath exercises, and gentle movements while soothing aromatherapy and healing sound vibrations transport you to a state of rest and relaxation. Adaptogen tea of your choice is included. You will feel refreshed, reinvigorated, and revitalized. Comfortable clothing recommended as you will be lying down. All are welcome!
RESTORE ‘n RESTART
Time Out! There are times when we need to pour energy in rather than out of our bodies. This is just the ticket. Hip openers, slower transitions, muscle softening postures - all these will decrease the intensity of this class. Low-to-moderate heat will ensure every system can tolerate this restorative class.
POWER ‘n FLOW INTERMEDIATE
Learn to break through the plateau of your yoga routine. A Vinyasa intermediate class - for those that have attended at least 10 Power 'n Flow classes at Health Yoga Life and have a solid ongoing yoga practice. Go deeper into advanced postures and variations. Enjoy a challenging practice and flow through intense back bends, inversions, binds and arm balances. Designed for those who wish to challenge themselves both physically and mentally.
CARDIO 'n FLOW
All LEVELS (50 minutes) Kick up your yoga practice a notch with the addition of body-weight exercises. A full body workout, develop your core strength as you tone and sculpt! Burn stress with high-intensity moves, then find your breath in traditional yoga postures. Pop playlists keep the beat and sweat flowing as you chisel and build endurance.
Make yoga work for you! Work with our expert teachers and gain personalized instruction and an individualized plan that well help you grow your practice. Private instruction is a great way to start a practice to reduce any fear or anxiety about trying something new.
