September is National Yoga Month by Liz Swenton

I cannot believe we’re halfway through August – this summer sure did fly by! But I’m already excited for September, one of my favorite months of the year. The weather starts to get cooler, pumpkin products make their debut and it’s National Yoga Month!

As I mentioned in my blog post last August, yoga is clinically proven to enhance well-being and increase productivity at work as you learn how to stay calm, focused and balanced. Whether you work in PR, the ER or IT, I can guarantee that this sounds appealing to you!

Earlier this year, we started March Yoga Nights at Health Yoga Life, an incredible studio in Beacon Hill. Their Vinyasa class, Power n’ Flow, was recently named Best of Boston in the July issue of The Improper Bostonian.

Vyda Bielkus, one of the HYL founders and Power n’ Flow instructors, is so inspirational and teaches all of her students to stay centered, no matter what life throws at us. After every class with Vyda, I leave feeling relaxed, yet motivated, willing to tackle that inbox, to-do list or whatever may be on the agenda.

If you haven’t tried yoga yet, September is a great month to start! HYL offers a ton of classes, suited for both experienced and beginner yogis.

So what are you waiting for? Even Shelby, my favorite pup, enjoys her time on the mat. Click HERE to read Liz Swenton’s Blog.

There is no better way to learn about the practice you love than through a yoga teacher training.
