Here at Health Yoga Life, we know that yoga is for everyBODY, at any age. Yes, yoga is great for kids, teens, and young adults, but the benefits of yoga for those with more life experience are numerous. Many may also assume that they have missed their chance to become a yoga teacher, and that it’s only a career path for the young and flexible. The world needs yoga teachers of all ages who want to spark and nurture the love of yoga in their students.
Evolve Your Practice
Your yoga practice will be different every single day, and definitely different at age twenty and age fifty. Our bodies grow and evolve and so will your practice! Maybe you haven’t stepped on the mat in a while. There’s no time like the present to sign up for a class, or to press play on a recorded class. Celebrate wherever you are on that day, during that class.
Explore a New Side-Hustle
Becoming a yoga teacher is possible at any age! Do you wish you could share your love of yoga and movement with others? Maybe you just want to share it with your co-workers or a small group of friends. There are so many ways to be a yoga teacher. Whether that’s teaching a class in-person at a studio, online via video, at your job during lunch breaks, at your local gym, or hosting your very own yoga retreat, teaching yoga can be a part of your life.
It can be harder to find like-minded friends as an adult. One of the best ways to connect with great people is to take a yoga class! Especially if you’re new to town, heading down to the local yoga studio is the perfect way to make connections with new friends. You could head to class early and chat with the people near your mat or ask someone to get a coffee or smoothie after class. You’ll instantly have a connection with the other people in your class by sharing your love of yoga.
Share Your Gifts
We all have talents and gifts to share with the world, and one of the best ways to do that is by becoming a yoga teacher! If you’re good with kids, teach a kid’s yoga class. If your passion is serving older populations, teaching chair and gentle yoga would be a beautiful way to contribute to the health and well-being of elders. Not only will you share your expertise and passion with others you’ll receive joy and satisfaction back from your students.
