One of the best things you can do during the summer is take your yoga practice outside. Whether you’re doing your own flow, or participating in a class, we have some tips on how you can get the most out of your practice.
Liz Hosman
Liz is one of HYL’s OG’s and vividly remembers climbing the studio stairs in pain from a recent snowboarding trip. Aida greeted her with a smile and a mat and there was no turning back. (To yoga, that is. Snowboarding, long gone hobby.) Liz loves balancing her yoga practice with high-energy cardio and strength and is excited to Zoom into action with the HYL team. Her classes feature squats, burpees, jacks, and everything between. You’ll almost always hear some silly anecdote about her almost three year old son, encouraging students to not take everything so seriously!
Liz is certified through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and teaches BURN and Total Body Conditioning at Boston Sports Clubs. She also previously taught at the YMCA Charlestown and Boston Center for Adult Education.
Being a mother is rewarding, but it comes with its set of challenges. Whether you are a working or stay-at-home mom, a new mom, or an empty nester, we honor you and appreciate you! Here at Health Yoga Life we know that moms come in many varieties, and this day is to celebrate you.
Cardio has been a huge part of my life for nearly 35 years. I grew up as a dancer and cheerleader and continued both throughout college and beyond. Countless hours were spent at the gym, focusing on endurance and strength training. One thing that I wish was part of my training routine back then was yoga! I first discovered yoga in 2005 at the gym but started practicing religiously at Health Yoga Life about ten years ago!
